Heats and Mains

A racer may qualify for their main with more than one car. If more than one racer cannot race in the Main event, the final position
shall be determined by which racer qualified best.

Trinity Street Spec Motors
Trinity Street Spec 21 turn motors will be set at the industry standards with the following specifications now in production.
Only rebuildable “Trinity Street Spec” 21 turn motors will be allowed in all RTR; 4-Cell Spec Trucks and Legends classes.
NO ALTERATIONS TO THE ORIGINAL SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE ALLOWED.
Armature: FULL STACK ARM. Minimum stack length 21mm (.855 including factory applied epoxy insulation).
Minimum stack diameter: 23mm (.905) Armature laminations may not be turned or drilled for lightning purposes.
This is a 21 turn armature, an error factor of one turn per armature is permitted.
All Spec motors will be wound with the “Mabuchi” wrap.
Brushes and brush hoods may not be changed from the original OEM and stand up configuration.
Full faced brushes, serrations allowed. Stand up brushes – 3x5mm only. No special cuts (Off road cuts) will be permitted.
Any spring combination.
Changing or enhancing the magnetic field through mechanical applications or magnetic “zapping” is prohibited.
Magnetic North and South shall be aligned centered on each magnet.
Com locks must be complete (No locks broken) Twisting the arm to advance the timing will not be allowed.

The Track
The Track reserves the right to Dyno and inspect any motor/engine for tampering/modifications
If a spec 21 turn arm has evidence of tampering or abnormality it will be un-wound. If found legal it will be replaced with new arm.
19T Motors will also follow this rule.

Stock & Modified Touring
1. Any 1/10th scale Touring Chassis. Usually 4WD, open Modifications/Hop-ups.
2. Roar legal Brushed Stock or Novak 13.5 BL motors (for Stock Class); any Roar legal 19t or Novak 4300 BL motors. Any brush/spring combo.
3. Motors may use battery plugs or direct solder connections.
4. Batteries are limited to 4600mah NiMh, six-cell or Orion SpecPack 3200 2-cell LiPo batteries.
5. Any style of battery plugs may be used on battery to speed control connection.
6. Open ESC (Speed Control); Open Touring Tire/Wheel combo; Open gear ratio.
7. Open Touring body.
8. Min weight with transponder 1500 Grams w/transponder.

RTR Sportsman & Jr. RTR Sportsman
1. Any 1/10 scale oval chassis. Chassis MUST keep the stock front ends suspension i.e.. NO HOP UPS.
Any king pins and front springs will be allowed.
2. “Trinity Street Spec” 21 turn Motor.
3. Motors may use battery plugs or direct solder connections.
4. 4-cell “Trinity Street Spec” batteries only.
5. Any style of battery plugs may be used on battery to speed control connection.
6. Speed control shall cost no more than $100.00 (retail price)
7. Open gear ratio.
8. Wings are recommended! Max spoiler height is 2″ from trunk lid.
9. Tires: BSR or Race Tread SPEC radials only
10. (3) 34 lap A-mains requires racer to graduate to an upper class
12. No receiver packs allowed.
13. Min weight with transponder 2 lbs. 8 oz. (40 oz.)
13-1. All Electric Cars and Trucks “at ROAR Sanctioned Events” will adhere to ROAR rules and must weigh a min. 2 lbs. 11 oz. (43 oz.) (with Transponder)
14. Any 1/10 scale center shock. NO side shocks. Only tweak system allowed will be screws in the T-plate.
One dumper (swizzle-stick, slider-shaft) on rear pod may be used.
15. Body must be NASCAR style only. No cut outs on body except wing wire. (Rear bumper will remain.)

Legends Revisited
0) Age limit of 16 year old or younger!!!

1) Chassis: Legend chassis only.
2) Bodies: Only approved Legend bodies. All bodies must have clear windows. No wings or spoilers.
3) Gears: 48 pitch. Only 81 tooth spur gear and 21 or 22 tooth pinion gears of any make may be used.
4) Standard steel axle must be used. Wheelbase cannot be altered.
5) Modifications: Any front springs and steering turnbuckles can be used. The back part of the battery tray may be cut to allow the battery leads up through the chassis.Battery tray, zip ties and Velcro may be used to hold batteries in car.
6) Motors: Trinity Street Spec, 21 turn (any brush/Spring combination is legal). “Spec tag” must be mounted to the Armature by the factory.
7) Batteries: 4 cell Trinity Street Spec 1600 mah.
8) Tires: Any rubber capped tire.

4-Cell Spec Trucks
1. Any 1/10 scale oval chassis. Body must be NASCAR style only.
2. “Trinity Street Spec” 21 turn Motor, any brand full faced brush, any springs.
3. Motors may use battery plugs or direct solder connections.
4. 4-cell “Trinity Street Spec” batteries only.
5. Any style of battery plugs may be used on battery to speed control connection.
6. Open gear ratio.
7. Rear of truck may NOT be cut out.
8. Tires: BSR or Race Tread SPEC radials only.
9. Min. weight with transponder 2 lbs. 8 oz. (40 oz.)
9-1. All Electric Cars and Trucks “at ROAR Sanctioned Events” will adhere to ROAR rules and must weigh a min. 2 lbs. 11 oz. (43 oz.) (with Transponder)

13.5 BL; 4300 BL; Stock & 19turn.

2. Novak respective Brushless motors; Stock & 19t – Any brushed motor with respective turns and any brush/spring.
3. Battery – 4-cell (up to) 4200 NiMh stick pack or side-by-side configuration.
4. Batteries may use plugs or be “hard-wired”.
6. Open gear ratio.
7. Rear window holes permitted for wing wire penetration.
8. Rear of body may be cut out.
9. Wings are recommended.
10. Tires: BSR radials of any type.
11. Min. weight with transponder 2 lbs 9 oz. (41 oz.)

17.5 BL/LiPo

4. Orion “Race Spec” 3200 Mah, LiPo Battery ONLY.
5. Batteries may use plugs or be “hard-wired”.
6. Open gear ratio.
7. Rear window holes permitted for wing wire penetration.
8. Rear of body may be cut out.
9. Wings are recommended.
10. Tires: BSR radials of any type.
11. Min. weight with transponder 2 lbs 11 oz. (43 oz.)

QSAC Quarter Scale
1. Any QSAC recognized oval chassis. Body must be NASCAR or NASTRUCK style only.
2. Zenoah 23cc displacement only.
3. QSAC car and engine rules apply.
4. Cars must have reliable working brake systems.
5. Cars will be required to pass tech inspection before being run on the track.
6. Chassis and all its components must fit completely beneath the body.

1/10 Scale .09 Gas(pan)Car
Two divisions will be available to run. Limited and Pro
Limited division will include a set gear ratio._.__
Weight for limited division will be 48 ounces full of fuel. Spec tires and the Blue exhaust stinger are required.
Pro division will include an open gear ratio, open tires and the Gold exhaust stinger.
Weight for the Pro division will be 44 ounces full of fuel.
* Any direct drive pan car. No independent front suspension.
* No engine modifications (porting, polishing, drilling.)
* Any ·Blue· or ·Gold· carburetor air filter adapter.
* Legal heads include: KSG, Bandit R/C, or a drilled .12 cooling head.
* Fuel will be 20% Nitro content only.
* All cars must have a throttle return spring in place and a properly functioning brake.
* Fuel tank will be limited to the Associated #7719 GT/NTC3 Fuel Tank. The #7721 tank insert is not required.
* A $60.00 engine (with cooling head and clutch removed) buy-out will be in place for all races.
* A $15.00 protest fee must be submitted in writing to the race director and must detail what is to be protested.
If found legal the racer protested will keep the $15.00. If illegal the racer is disqualified and the protest fee returned.
Any protest must be filed before the next heat race or 10 minutes following the Main.

1/10th Scale .12 Gas(pan)Car
In order to Coincide with the GASCAR sanctioning body rules, Carolina RC Complex will be requiring the O. S. .12 CV Red Head, as of this notice.

Dirt Oval Classes:

General Rules: All qualifiers will be 4 minutes in length, qualifiers will use IFMAR starts. B mains will be 4 minutes. Mains for all classes will be 4 Minutes
except 2WD latemodel; this class will be 6 minutes mains. All races will be rolling starts. Turn marshals may not work on or repair cars.
All cars must enter and exit the racing surface via the pit lane at all times. If a car suffers damage or has a flameout and makes it to pit road, racer
may re-enter the race but must do so by entering from the pit lane only.
Any cars damaged and placed in the infield will remain there until that race is over. All drivers must turn marshal the race immediately following their race.

TIRES: All cars must use FOAM TIRES ONLY, no rubber, silicone or silicone-impregnated tires are allowed. All tires must be wiped clean before
being allowed through tech or on the track for all practice and races.

All Classes: All cars must have a front bumper that is made of a shock absorbing material e.g. nylon, delrin, plastic, kydex etc.
Front bumpers must be mounted in such a way that they will contact an object prior to any other portion of the car in a front impact.
All cars must have 4-wheel independent suspension. No straight axle cars allowed. All EDM bodies, sprint car bodies and
cages must resemble real full-scale cars running on dirt oval tracks.
All corners of bodies and wings must be rounded for safety

Electric Rules: Li-po 20C race spec 3200 mah (Orion and Peak carbon edition) combined with Brushless motor or
6 cell Batteries of up to IB4200mah or EP4600mah combined with 19t adj. Timing, ROAR approved brushed motor. (max. of 36 degrees timing)

Brushless Motors: All electric class will use Novak 13.5 SS brushless motors. Except 18th scale.

Nitro Rules: Max fuel tank size is 75cc in all classes. (Except 8th scale) No stinger modifications and no pipes with adjustable stingers allowed.
Single speed transmissions only.

Rotary or Slide carb version are optional.Production headers and pipes only, single stinger opening.

When reading rules below it is a good thing to realize that chances are if it is not mentioned here, it is not legal.
Do not plan a defense of your latest concoction by saying “it doesn’t say I can’t do it”.
Save yourself and everyone else a lot of time by being realistic in what is expected and in the spirit of the rules.

Classes:
Legend Oval Car

0) Age limit of 16 year old or younger!!!

2WD GAS Latemodel:
Bodies may have openings for cylinder head, fuel tank access, glow plug, engine tuning, and exhaust outlets only. Maximum track width is 10″.
Maximum rear spoiler chord is 2″including any molded in portion. A 1/4″ wicker is allowed on top of spoiler in addition to the 2″.
A left side-dam will be allowed with the following dimensions: Maximum length 14″, Maximum height is 2.5″ above deck plus a 1/2″ bend at top.
Side-dam leading edge must be at least 3″ behind center of front axle with wheels aligned straight forward.
leading edge must be perpendicular or angle back (can not angle forward).
also side-dam must be mounted and braced securely at a 90-degree angle with at least 2 rigid braces.
No “flopping” side-dams allowed. A right side spoiler cap or side-dam is allowed and can be no longer than 2″ forward of spoiler base and no taller than top of spoiler.
no additional wings, spoilers, wickers, flaps, vents, doohickeys, thingamajigs etc. can be added to body other than what is specifically mentioned above.
the body may not be altered in anyway from its stock configuration i.e.: shortened, lengthened, narrowed etc.
Reasonable modification may be permitted to allow for cylinder head cooling only.

4WD Latemodel:
This class will under go some changes but will hold most of the same rules, as is. 4WD TC type cars.

Limited GAS Latemodel / 2WD Electric LM:
Same as above with the following exceptions: Maximum rear spoiler chord is 3″ including any molded-in portion.
A 1/4″ wicker is allowed on top of spoiler in addition to the 3″.
NO SIDE-DAMS ALLOWED EXCEPT: A left and right side spoiler cap or side-dam is allowed and can be no longer than 2″ forward of
spoiler base and no taller than top of spoiler.

Sprint:
Maximum length is 18”. Must have “scale appearing” cage, hood, side panels, nerf bars, and bumpers. Exhaust headers must appear on both sides of car
in “engine area” and be made of round stock or molded polycarbonate (left side of nitro sprint is optional). Must run top wing – maximum wing surface area is
6″ X 6″ plus a 1/2″ max rear spoiler, wing center section must be square, no canted leading edges. Left side panel max 4″ x 7″ max right side panel 3.25″ x 7″.
A 1/4″ bend is allowed on top and bottom of wing side panels but is included in max dimensions. A 3/8″ max wicker bill is allowed on rear edge of wing side panels.
Wing minimum height at leading edge 5″ from bottom of chassis. Front wing maximum surface area is 8 square inches with max side panels of 3″ long and 1.5 ” high,
max of 1″ above horizontal wing surface. Rear cage side panels may be used but cannot extend beyond cage frame. Maximum front bumper width is 4″.
No lexan or any other material may be mounted to nerf bars or bumpers that may assist as an aero device.

Limited Sprint:
Same as above with the following exceptions: No Front Wings allowed. All body pieces i.e.: hood, tail, side panels must be stock production
pieces available from manufacturer. No additional panels or pieces are permitted.

Eastern Dirt Modified (EDM):
Maximum overall length is 22″. Maximum width of body/inner panel is 8″. Inner panel must have a hood at least 2″ wide that
extends from front of inner panel to at least the leading edge of the roof and must be a minimum of 1/2″ above inner panel.
Maximum front bumper width is 5″, must be mounted flat and may not be angled up to act as a Wing.
An additional front body panel is allowed on the front of the car but may not extend past the bumper and may not be wider than 4.5″ or longer than 3.5″.
Maximum width of roof is 7″ ; roof width must be at least .5″ narrower than inner panel width where attached to doors.
Minimum roof height is 5.0″ ; maximum height of body at highest point is 7.0″.
Maximum roof length is 6.5″ : a 1/2″ rear spoiler is allowed on roof and is not included in 6.5″ maximum length restriction.
Front and rear windows must be removed; any clear portion is included in max roof length dimension. Side windows and a pillar must attach to side panels at
top edge of door and must also contact the entire length of roof. (i.e. no large gap between roof and top of windows)
Side windows must be clear and no portion of side window may overlap side or sail panel.
Roof, windows, side and sail panels must be symmetrical.

Maximum Side panel length is 17″ and no part of the side panels can extend forward of the front axle. Entire side panel must be on one plane and
both side panels must be parallel to each other.
Front edge of sail panel cannot extend more than 1″ forward of rear tire leading edge and cannot overlap side windows.
No additional lips or flaps are allowed with the exception of a 1/4″ bend at top and bottom of side and sail panel no more than 45 degree.
Any material added for the purpose of bracing or supporting the body must be a maximum of 1/2″ wide and 5 ” long.
Bodies must have at least 1/3 of right rear tires exposed when viewed from front, top and rear of car.
Rear spoiler chord maximum is 3″.
No rear wheel cutouts are allowed on the horizontal plane of the inner panel.

1/8 Latemodel:
Body: 25″ length, 12″ width (front end cannot have sharp edges). We recommend molded bodies if possible. Contact us if you don’t have one. ** New for “2007”
Side dam: 11″ in height (measured from ground) can’t extend beyond rear spoiler. Max length 17″
Rear Spoiler: 7″ from ground.
Engine: RB Econo S3 or OS VG, RG Engine ** new for 2007
Fuel Tank: 150cc max.
